Yard Associate - The Fort Miller Co., Inc.

The Fort Miller Co., Inc. located in Greenwich, NY, has a full time, year round opening for a Yard Associate. This individual will perform heavy equipment operation, such as fork truck and yard horse, as it pertains to the storage and shipment of precast concrete products. The Yard Associate will also be responsible for hooking loads, guiding pieces onto trailers, retrieving and properly storing unused dunnage, performing yard and facility maintenance duties, etc.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• The ability to perform heavy physical labor, lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• The ability to safely operate heavy equipment.
• The ability to withstand exposure to diesel fumes, extreme temperatures and dust.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and Saturdays on occasion.
• The ability to work outside daily in all weather conditions.
• Excellent housekeeping skills.
