Strategically located across offices nationwide, Greysteel has established broad market coverage from coast to coast.Position Overview:Greysteel is seeking an enthusiastic mid-level backend/data engineer in a contract role who is interested in working with a fast-growing team in building industry-leading commercial real estate data services. You will be part of designing and implementing server-side services to ingest, organize, analyze, and display real estate data and insight. You will be working in a small team and be a real partner in the design and implementation of all aspects of our product for the benefit of our clients and advisors.Key Responsibilities:Modeling: Create and train models based on a backlog of enhancements, addressing business needs such as data integration, use of automations and artificial intelligence, and customer driven requests.Data Cleaning: Collect, develop, interpret and clean key data points to support operational decision-making in the commercial real estate sector.Analysis: Assist in the development and implementation of data analyses, data collection systems, data visualization and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality; improve existing reporting systems while performing complex data analyses.Research: Lead strategy-driven research, planning, and analysis efforts in collaboration with internal stakeholders, testing for edge cases; conduct select training sessions with internal stakeholders on research findings and modeling techniques.Documentation: Where appropriate, develop and implement the best practices for data collection methodologies and analysis to support Greysteel's Advisors.Performance: Provide consulting and analytic services to leadership and support the evaluation and assessment of program performance.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience in data analysis, data collection, databasing, and reporting systems.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related discipline.
