Job Description :
Position Summary:The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for transporting products or materials within a production or warehouse environment using powered tools and industrial vehicles. This role involves the operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move raw materials, finished goods, and load/unload trailers. Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential.Key Responsibilities:
  • Material Handling & Transport:
    • Operate industrial vehicles (e.g., forklifts) and equipment to transport raw materials, finished goods, and full goods within the warehouse or production facility.
    • Load and unload designated trailers, route trucks, and ensure materials are stored in the appropriate area.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, including PPE standards.
    • Wear required protective footwear and other PPE in designated work areas, especially those involving Production, Distribution, and Warehouse operations.
  • Manual Movement of Materials:
    • When necessary, manually lift and move materials to support production and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience:
    • High school diploma or GED preferred.
    • 0-3 years of general work experience in warehouse or production settings.
    • 1+ year of warehouse/stocking/forklift experience preferred.
    • Prior experience in a high-speed industrial environment is a plus.
  • Skills and Certification:
    • Ability to operate manual/powered pallet jacks and forklift; forklift certification is preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
  • Foot Protection:
    • Safety boots are required (steel toe, puncture-resistant sole, slip-resistant, and provide ankle support).
    • Boots must meet ANSI Z41 standards (or local equivalent) with at least a 6 height, Kevlar puncture-resistant bottom, Class 75 protective toe, and slip-resistant soles (Mark II LS-oily/wet test at 0.35/higher).
