Who We're Looking For:Our Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician would be a role model for the team and lead by example. The position's duties would include but are not limited to:
- Following protocols set forth by the Practice Manager and Medical Director
- Medication inventory
- Technician Appointments and patient assessment
- Anesthesia monitoring following AAHA guidelines and documentation
- Surgical prep and assisting
- Dentistry
- Radiology
- Laboratory work (In-House and Prep for IDEXX)
- Venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Pharmacy (Online and In-House)
- Patient recovery
- Monitoring of hospitalized animals
- Training of new support staff on patient handling skills (FearFree) and outlining the training curriculum
- Assist the Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, and Medical Director in implementing protocols when necessary
- Organizing the flow of the schedule by conducting Huddles with the team and triaging the schedule
Requirements:- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods
- Can individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 pounds
- Active Veterinary Technician License in Washington State
- Great Customer Service Experience/Skills
- Experience with Avimark (preferred)
- Experience in a Leadership Role (preferred)
- FearFree Certified (preferred)
- High School Diploma
- Reliable transportation
