This is a hybrid position with offices in the Rochester/Buffalo/Syracuse NY region and Pittsburgh/Canonsburg, PA region.

Project Engineer Summary:

The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and construction management of critical infrastructure projects. This role involves managing day-to-day technical tasks, developing detailed design plans, and providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications for bridges and related structures.
  • Oversee technical design tasks and ensure project alignment with budgets and schedules.
  • Attend project design meetings and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Conduct field inspections and provide reports for bridge and culvert inspections.
  • Perform bridge inspections, load ratings, and analysis, focusing on concrete/steel bridge design.
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing design-related queries and reviewing progress.

Project Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • 5- 8+ years experience in transportation and structures/bridge design.
  • Experience with MicroStation, STAAD, and Bridge Design Software preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, both writer and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and consultants.
  • Commitment to quality standards, safety protocols, and continuous improvement.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it.
