Job Description :

At Eden Rose our client is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their business litigation and dispute resolution team. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Texas and should have between 2-5 years of experience in general litigation. Must have a GOOD writing sample. The role is Hybrid (3 days in the office 2 remote) and for the right applicant there is a relocation assistance program.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree in LAW.
  • Licensing: Must be licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of associate-level experience in general litigation from any size law practice (small boutique to large firm).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Communication:
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, supervising attorneys, and colleagues.
  • Legal Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of federal and state court practices.
  • Experience preparing answers, motions, and other routine filings.
  • Experience handling hearings and depositions.
  • Significant case management experience.
  • Familiarity with basic and complex litigation documents.
  • Ability to learn new substantive legal topics as needed.
  • Organizational Skills:
  • Strong organization and matter management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork:
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, including with partners, associates, and support staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Legal Services:
  • Provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys.
  • Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough factual and legal research and analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents.
  • Case Management:
  • Manage matters from commencement to final resolution.
  • Court Appearances:
  • Attend hearings and handle depositions.
  • Communication:
  • Competently and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in litigation practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex legal cases from start to finish. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity to work well under pressure and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
