Bay Cities has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Field Auditor for our Midwest partner facilities. This role is critical in maintaining our quality standards by performing on-site audits and spot checks of processes and outputs at multiple partner manufacturing locations. The ideal candidate will be based in the Midwest and will travel regularly to ensure compliance with Bay Cities' quality requirements, collaborating with partners to implement improvements where needed.JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSEOn-Site Audits:
- Travel regularly to partner manufacturing facilities across the Midwest to conduct spot checks, process audits, and quality inspections of corrugated components produced on behalf of Bay Cities and its clients.
- Assess manufacturing processes, materials, and final products to ensure they meet the industry and Bay Cities' quality standards and specifications.
Quality Reporting:
- Document, report and/or escalate on the quality of work at partner facilities, identifying areas for improvement and tracking ongoing quality issues.
- Generate detailed reports on each audit, including visual documentation, findings, and recommendations for corrective actions.
Collaboration with Partners:
- Work closely with partner facility teams to ensure a clear understanding of Bay Cities' quality standards and expectations.
- Provide guidance and support for improving processes and solving any recurring quality issues.
Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with partners to develop and implement corrective actions, quality controls, and continuous improvement initiatives to address any identified issues.
- Follow up on previous audits to ensure corrective actions have been effectively implemented and are sustainable.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that all partner facilities are in compliance with Bay Cities' manufacturing protocols, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential problems in production processes before they affect quality.
Training and Education:
- Provide and coordinate training and education to partner facility teams as needed to improve their understanding of quality standards, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Relationship Management:
- Serve as Bay Cities' representative in the Midwest, fostering strong relationships with partner facilities to maintain open communication and resolve quality concerns.
RequirementsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, auditing, or production management, preferably within the corrugated or packaging industry.
- Familiarity with corrugated manufacturing processes and quality control methods is highly preferredMinimum 2 years work experience in Food and/or pharmaceutical certified manufacturing facility.
- Strong understanding of quality standards, manufacturing processes, and production audits.
- Proficiency in using tools and software for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report findings clearly and collaborate with teams at partner facilities.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus.
