This part-time Office Associate position of 20 hours per week will provide a great opportunity for an individual interested in helping to organize and facilitate events that enhance students' civic learning and engagement. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Help plan and organize the Marquette Civic Dialogues Program. a. Work with director to review schedule of events. b. Participate in weekly meetings with the full Civic Dialogues team. c. Supervise student interns. 2. Coordinate the details of each event. a. Responsible for travel logistics, catering, and campus space reservations. b. Assist in the processing and record keeping of entertainment, transportation, and speaker contracts. c. Oversee all publicity for events. d. Work closely with university faculty, staff, and student organizations to build knowledge and interest in Civic Dialogues program. 3. Coordinate Civic Dialogues Program communications. a. Coordinate social media strategy and content with Civic Dialogues team and liaison with staff in Students Affairs, Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, and University Relations. b. Attend to website creation, maintenance, and revision in collaboration with Civic Dialogues Program team. 4. As a member of Civic Dialogues team, this person will: a. Collaborate with other team members to develop, promote, and facilitate Civic Dialogues events and programs. b. Participate in team meetings, planning, and events management work.
