Job Description :

Crisdel Group, Inc. has a position available for a Pipe Tail Man experienced with water lines, sanitary & storm pipes. The Pipe Tail Man will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all times: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials.Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
  • Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools distributing them to appropriate locations.
  • Control traffic passing near, in or around work zones with appropriate training provided.
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials with appropriate training provided.
  • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.

  • Be able to effectively communicate, verbally and/or in writing, at all times with all individuals.
  • Work in a productive and efficient manner while maintaining the highest level of quality work.
  • Be proficient in reading construction plans, specifications and other contractual documents and applying them towards the successful construction of a project.
  • Be proficient in scheduling project work flow with in-house construction crews and subcontractors.
  • Be proficient in scheduling material deliveries.
  • Perform routine safety and quality control checks on the project and enforce compliance, when required.
  • Be proficient in basic computer software applications.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to follow specific directions and perform a variety of duties which may often change.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work as a team to efficiently complete jobs to the highest customer satisfaction.
  • Valid driver's license issued within the United States clear of multiple and/or major violations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen and motor vehicle records check; a criminal background check will also be conducted.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
  • Physical demands of this position include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, twisting, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting a minimum of 45 pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, dexterity of utilizing hands and fingers, seeing (close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception), hearing and speaking.
Typical Work Conditions Typical work conditions include working outside on a construction site and/or roadway project while being exposed to heat, noise, vibration and varying weather conditions.
