Job Summary: The Accounting Manager is responsible for utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices, this role performs complex accounting activities and financial analysis.
Travel: While primarily a remote position, employees are required to attend monthly in office cadence. From time to time, additional in-person team meetings may be required as well.
Essential Functions:
* Lead, manage, and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support to enhance team performance and productivity.
* Prepare month-end close entries including revenue, allocations, prepaids and reserves and others as necessary.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, identifying trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
* Assist Controller Review and analyze various P&L accounts and perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations during month end and year-end closes.
* Assist in review of Workday Accounts Payable transactions to ensure accurate accounting.
* Assist with review and troubleshooting of electronic import of journal entries, supplier invoices, patient and insurance refunds in Workday.
* Demonstrate understanding and proficiency in revenue recognition principles and revenue integrity to support accurate financial reporting and compliance.
* Provide input and oversight of critical accounting policies, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Assist the Corporate Controller with the annual financial statement audit, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of audit requirements and supporting documentation.
* Work closely with the Controller to maintain and enhance the revenue recognition model, with a focus on structural integrity to support monthly revenue booking and external audit testing.
* Assist with accounting for Acquisitions to ensure accurate reporting of revenue and expenses.
* Engage in special projects or other duties assigned by the supervisor to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certifications preferred.
* A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a healthcare or related industry setting.
* Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across different levels of the organization.
* Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance
Hourly Pay Range
$130,000-$135,000 USD
