Job Overview:The Director of Accounts Receivable will lead the management of collections, cash posting, and coordination of promotional marketing, rebate, and pricing programs. This role involves overseeing a team of 10+ while working closely with sales, customer service, and other departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in managing collections, cash posting, and processing of deductions/disputes, while tracking progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to resolve delinquent accounts, providing regular updates on collection status to the executive team.
- Oversee the setup of new customer accounts and establish credit terms.
- Work with sales and pricing teams to manage promotional, rebate, and price deviation programs for key accounts.
- Approve new initiatives within the trade management system and ensure proper configuration in the ERP system.
- Manage the validation and approval of customer program and broker commission payments.
- Review and reconcile customer program accruals on a monthly basis and analyze any significant variances.
- Assist with external audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
- Identify inefficiencies in processes or systems and implement improvements to enhance operations.
- Provide guidance on complex issues to foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses requested by management.
- Manage the hiring, development, and performance evaluation of team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, specializing in Accounts Receivable and customer programs.
- Strong knowledge of promotional marketing, rebate, and pricing structures.
- Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.
Salary Range: $140k - $160k
