Drives a vanto transport students over specified routes according to time schedule. Complies with State and local traffic regulations. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Presence on the job is an employee's fundamental obligation.
- Regular, reliable and punctual attendance is required.
- Drives a van safely and professionally.
- Performs and properly completes daily pre-trip inspections.
- Use established routes and designated stops.
- Perform bus housekeeping duties inside and out.
- Fill the gas tank.
- Notify the supervisor of any vehicle defects.
- Notify the supervisor of any accidents and student injuries.
- Complies with all traffic ordinances.
- Complies with discipline policies set forth in the School Code of Conduct for Transportation.
- Participates in on-site training.
- Shows proficiency in handling and maneuvering a van.
- Shows proficiency in the use of technology and computer skills.
- Establishes favorable working relationships with co-workers, parents, students and local district staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must have no points on driving record and be able to pass physical including drug tests.
- Valid Driver License required.
- Must be able to obtain a Chauffeur's License.
- Satisfactoryly pass the knowledge examination.
- Meet state requirements for appropriate licensing.
- Meet state physical examination requirements.
- Meet local or state standards for driving tests.
- Meet local or state standards for driver record check.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology and computer skills.

SALARY/SCHEDULE: - $18.00 - $21.49 Per Hour
