Job Summary Machine operator to support packaging operations on a press machine. This role involves taking rolls off the machine, packaging them in boxes, securing boxes on pallets, and moving pallets as needed. Safety and compliance with established procedures are essential. This is a special project lasting up to a year, with potential for a permanent hire before the project ends. Key Responsibilities
- Packaging:
- Remove rolls from the machine, place them in boxes, and secure the boxes with tape.
- Stack filled boxes on a pallet, and move the pallet with a pallet jack to designated areas.
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate basic finishing tools and equipment according to established processes and instructions.
- Perform quality checks and adhere to productivity standards.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety practices, including wearing steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, and high-visibility vests (provided by the client).
- Comply with company policies and safety regulations.
- Collaboration:
- Work directly with the machine operator and build positive working relationships within the team.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Experience:
- Less than 1 year of relevant experience; no prior machine experience is required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and operate a pallet jack.
- Skills:
- Basic understanding of equipment operation, adherence to safety protocols, and quality standards.
Education: Bachelors Degree
