JOB SUMMARY:
This department is responsible for assisting TCS Drivers with any same day non-emergency trips to
and from scheduled rides such as healthcare appointments, doctor visits, rehab, clinical testing, follow-up exams and more. As the Dispatch Manager, you will be tasked with operating the coordination and operations of our real-time dispatch team and the day-to-day activity of the drivers. In this role you will work diligently with our Dispatch Specialists, Trip Assignment Specialists, Call Center CSRs, and our drivers, to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of our most vital asset - our members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintains compliance with all LCP/TCS policies, procedures, and company policies, including all state laws.
• Understands and adheres to continuous quality improvement objectives and safety standards.
• Managing routes and dispatching drivers while maximizing efficiency and multi loading
• Motivates employees to achieve peak productivity, performance, and foster a cooperative work environment.
• Supervise, monitor, evaluate and provide direction to direct reports. Provide professional growth and
development; develop and communicate annual goals and objectives; monitor and provide constructive
feedback; conduct annual performance evaluations and provide training.
• Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling, and terminations of assigned positions.
• Participates and assists in cross training efforts to allow flexibility in facilitating workflow.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation.
• Accurately monitors last minute schedules daily; assess effectiveness and adjust as required.
• Communicating with vendor relations via reporting, late minute trips, critical trips, etc.
• Assisting and delegating live board responsibilities with the team.
• Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned.
• Act as first point of contact for TCS for any issues related to LCP
• First point of contact for driver incidents and accidents
• To work with the driver leads to ensure all last-minute critical trips are covered
• Work driver leads to resolve any driver related issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strongly preferred previous experience in routing, driving and dispatching or complex logistics.
• Bachelor's degree and/or 1 years of experience in the management or NEMT operation preferred.
• Ability to remain flexible in work assignments/scheduled hours.
• Must have strong computer skills; efficient with MS Office, mapping tools, transportation software, and office
equipment (i.e., telephone, headset, PC, Fax machine, scanner, printer, and photocopier).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Ability to recognize and secure confidential information.
SCHEDULE:
• 9-hour to 12-hour shifts; Additional On-call coverage
• Monday to Friday; Weekend availability
