Homewerks Worldwide, LLC, a leading import distributor of home improvement products for major retailers is seeking a Distribution Supervisor, Associate to join our Distribution Center team. Position Summary

The Distribution Supervisor, Associate, will oversee the outbound operations in Libertyville, IL. This individual will be tasked with ensuring productivity is maintained, orders are processed accurately and on schedule, assisting with labor planning, and providing guidance and leadership to distribution center employees. The Distribution Supervisor, Associate will report to the Distribution Supervisor, Outbound. This individual will need to be flexible with overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Outbound operations, including order management, picking, packing, shipping, shipper communication, customer requirements, customer compliance, customer communication, and internal stakeholder communication.

• Lead a team of 10 – 20 people.

• Develop team to deliver unparalleled customer service.

• Maintain safety and high levels of accuracy in daily operations; maintain a clean and organized operating environment.

• Core areas.

o General

 Drive employee safety and engagement.

 Meet customer requirements and exceed customer expectations.

 Be passionate about order accuracy and compliance to customer requirements.

 Utilizes metrics to drive performance in safety, quality, service, and cost.

 Demonstrates top-tier performance, and ability to solve and prevent issues through process improvement.

 Develop and coach team members who sustain highly repeatable processes, while identifying and escalating opportunities for improvement.

 Periodically audit orders and how team members perform standard work.

 Be proficient with WMS (warehouse management system) and TMS (transportation management system).

o Support the Distribution Supervisor, Outbound with pick and pack operations

 Manage on-time pick and pack completion of accurate orders and quality packages/pallets/loads, includes full truck load, less than truck load, and small parcel customers.

 Ensures priorities are followed.

 Adjust picker assignments to support priorities.

 Ensure order completion in all pick and pack operations.

 Drives floor for full shift.

 Convert temporary team members to full-time.

 End-of-day reports.

 Issue escalation and resolution.

 Executes training program. Trains and coaches. Audit work in progress.

 Hire, promote, terminate, and task.

 Expert at customer requirements.

o Support the Distribution Supervisor, Outbound with shipping

 On-time shipping with accurate, stable customer-compliant packages/pallets/loads.

 Prepare outbound loads, including documents and labels.

 Trailer check when load is complete, before shipping.

 Submit ASNs (advanced shipping notices).

 Loads trailers, as needed.

 Finds, escalates, and resolves issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics or equivalent experience.

• 2 years of operations experience in a distribution center with progressive responsibilities.

• 1 years leadership with a demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others, enabling personnel development and reliable and accurate execution.

• Warehouse equipment experience a plus.

• Systems – Experience with ERP, Infor M3 a plus and a WMS and TMS required

• Utilization of standard processes & metrics is required.

• Structured problem solving – Lean, Six Sigma / DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis and related counter measures.
