The Benefits Professional manages the day-to-day operations of our core benefits programs, including group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), and voluntary benefit offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and configure new benefit plans for clients.
  • Process benefit enrollments, changes, and updates across various platforms.
  • Address inquiries regarding benefit eligibility, coverage details, and claims procedures from employees, supervisors, and vendors.
  • Respond promptly to employee questions or concerns, ensuring quick and effective resolutions.
  • Assist with the monthly enrollment of newly eligible employees.
  • Lead benefits orientation during open enrollment and client renewals.
  • Conduct open enrollment meetings for both new clients and annual renewals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients regarding benefit plan overviews and amendments.
  • Perform Client Premium Only Plan (POP) discrimination testing.
  • Distribute health and welfare forms and documents to employees and employers.
  • Update employee payroll records for benefits reconciliations as needed.
  • Prepare and manage the electronic open enrollment process for the master medical plan and ensure accurate premium updates in software.
  • Assist clients with ACA compliance and planning.
  • Carry out additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of benefits-related experience preferred. Experience in multi-client or PEO environments is a plus.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing projects and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent judgment and initiative in handling tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette and effective interpersonal interactions.
  • Collaborative team player who aligns with our core values.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with isolved HRIS is a plus.

This role requires an individual who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex tasks while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
