Job Description :

ERM is hiring Senior Soil and Groundwater sampling technicians to join our growing team in Greeley, Colorado. The successful candidate will primarily work on sampling and remediation projects in northeast Colorado. This is a Full-time, limited-term role with a duration of 1 year, renewable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical assistance on site investigation and remediation projects
  • Conduct field work, including:
  • Utility clearance
  • Soil and bedrock drilling, characterization, and sampling;
  • Monitoring well (groundwater and soil vapor) installation and sampling
  • Soil excavation;
  • Soil, sediment, soil vapor, surface water, and groundwater sampling;
  • Surface and borehole geophysical techniques;
  • Aquifer testing, including slug tests, packer testing; step-drawdown and tracer tests; and
  • Remedial systems operation, maintenance and monitoring.
  • Assist in project activity planning, and health and safety implementation.
  • Collect and organize field data for use in tables, graphs, charts, maps and reports.
  • Support multiple project locations within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards are followed in the field.
  • Communicate with the ERM team, subcontractors as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's in geology, environmental engineering, environmental science or related degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant environmental experience including environmental field work.
  • Willingness/interest in field assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good written/verbal communication.
  • Effective organization/analytical skills; experience recording/organizing technical data and information.
  • Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and hands-on trouble-shooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification a plus.
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Local candidates preferred.

For the Senior Soil and Groundwater sampling technicians position we anticipate the annual base pay of $75,920 – $84,811, $36.50– $40.77 hourly equivalency, limited-term, non-exempt. An employee's pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee's fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job is not eligible for bonus pay.
