Restrictions apply based on collective bargaining agreements, applicable state law and factors such as pay classification, job grade, location, and length of service.The Assistant Recreation Director is responsible for assisting the Recreation Director in the development, implementation and supervision of the full scope of recreation services.Position Highlights
  • Assist with planning the nursing center recreation program by contributing to the development of program philosophies and policies, along with writing procedures, goals and objectives for the program.
  • Contribute to the implementation of meaningful activities for all patients/residents' that engage them creatively, intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of recreation program volunteers. May assume responsibility for volunteer program development and implementation.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of the NAAP/NCCAP Modular I Course for Activity Professionals or Certification in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the center, by the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals (ADC) or the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification (CTRS) OR one (1) year of full-time experience in a social or recreational program within the last 3 years in a health care setting.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors and to respond to their medical and physical needs.
  • Must be available for evening and weekend hour as needed
