The Herron Classical Schools network operates with the authority to make decisions about all aspects of our schools and is overseen by its own board of directors. Job Responsibilities
  • Monitoring - patrol/inspect premises and control access to buildings.
  • Reporting - report suspicious or abnormal activity and daily surveillance activity so that responders can respond appropriately.
  • Responding to emergencies - often the first to respond to emergencies, such as alarms, suspicious activity, or other security incidents. Assist with evacuations.
  • Helping people - assist faculty, staff and scholars to provide a sense of safety throughout the campus.
  • Work hours will be 10-4:30pm
  • Competencies/Skills Required
  • Flexibility - ability to manage priorities and adjust when needed.
  • Safety precautions - knowledge of safety basic practices.
  • Calm under pressure - ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Initiative - seeks opportunities to be helpful.
  • Physical needs - must be able to walk, climb stairs and stand for 30 mins at a time
  • Communication - ability to communicate via radio, ask for help when needed and communicate with others in a clear and concise manner.
  • Education Requirement
    • High School Education or GED equivalent.
