Job Description :
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Shipping and receiving personnel are responsible for all items entering and leaving the facility. This role works closely with the Procurement Manager, quality, and operations to ensure on-time delivery of product and correctly received and distributed product. This position requires attention to detail, ability to follow written instructions, strong communication skills and time management. RESPONSIBILITIES Shipping
  • Creating shipping labels and packing slips using the ERP system and carrier software
  • Manage documentation for customer shipments and carrier required documents
  • Sort and package shipments to maintain traceability and protect customer parts
  • Read, understand, and execute specific instructions
  • Communicate inventory needs and maintain cleanliness and order of department
Receiving
  • Receive materials and products into the facility and inform relevant parties
  • Track received items in the ERP system and accurately record quantities and details
  • Perform basic incoming inspections and maintain certifications as needed
  • Distribute items to their proper floor locations as required
Quality Assurance
  • Visually inspect and count parts prior to shipment
  • Identify and report defects regarding parts and materials
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing or shipping/receiving environment preferred
  • Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Forklift and/or scissor lift certification preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, perform push/pull tasks, bending and lifting tasks, keyboarding, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Attention to detail and able to read and comprehend instructions
  • Experience with ERP systems and software preferred, but training will be provided
  • Time management and organizational skills
