This position will offer great benefits with the state, including 15 days of annual and sick leave per year or more depending on applicable state service.The Building and Grounds Specialist III responsibilities:To provide student and staff a safe, attractive, conformable, clean, sanitary, and effective place in which to learn, play, and develop. Employee will work under limited supervison of the school principal. Employee will be responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed to the pcrscribed expectations. Employee will use discression when working with staff and students and have J)OSitive interactions will all campus community.
- Keep LS Brice and School Cafeteria common areas and bathrooms neat. clean, and sanitary at all times. Ensuring they are clean and sanitized daily.
- Sweep or vacuum classroom, offices, and activity spaces and dust furniture daily.
- Sweep and mop Cafeteria common spaces daily.
- Clean corridors after each school day and during the day when the conditions require it.
- Wash all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice a year or more frequently if needed.
- Keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
- Move furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities or directed by school administration.
- Shovel, plows, or sands sidewalks driveways, parking arcs, and steps as appropriate.
- Empties trash from bathrooms, common spaces, classrooms, and offices on a daily basis. Ensures that all trash it taken to agency dumpsters.
- Polish floors twice a year or more frequently.
- Empties Cafeteria trash daily and takes it to the agency dumpster.
- Enters maintenance request when repairs or supplies are needed.
- Restocks bathrooms with paper products daily.
- Refills public water fountain daily.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements High School diploma or GED Required. Custodial experience directly related to area of employment. Must be 18 years old. Must have a valid drivers license.Additional Requirements:

- Employee must be able to lift 50 pounds and use cleaning tools and chemicals.
- Employee must be able to ready, write, and communicate in English.
- May have to work several weekends a year due to campus events.
- Employee schedule may change based on school/ agency needs.
