Job Type Full-time Description Position Summary: We are hiring an Engineering Manager for our Vaughan, Ontario location to oversee all project phases from concept, through development, to manufacturing and field deployment, ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with global market needs, focusing on innovation, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to design, prototype, test, and refine pipeline inspection tools for global markets.
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for engineering projects, optimizing for international supply chains.
- Drive research into new materials, technologies, and methodologies to enhance tool capabilities, durability, and functionality in diverse pipeline conditions.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing product lines.
- Mentor and grow the engineering team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Coordinate with international sales and customer service teams to gather feedback and adapt designs for various market requirements.
- Navigate and ensure adherence to different regulatory environments across countries, including safety and environmental standards.
- Operational Excellence: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, consistently working towards the achievement of individual and team goals.
- Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in engineering, at least 5 years in a management role.
- Proven experience in product development, particularly in complex tools or machinery.
- Demonstrated leadership in innovation, with a track record of bringing products from concept to market.
- Familiarity with international pipeline regulations and design standards would be an asset (e.g., ASME, API).
