Company Description Our client is a UK-based food supplement company that specializes in promoting health and wellness through high-quality products. With a growing presence in the United States, they are expanding their operations and targeting mass retailers, convenience stores, and gyms. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Planner to optimize their supply chain processes and ensure efficient and timely product delivery. Objective of the Role The Supply Chain Planner will play a vital role in managing the company's supply chain operations, ensuring the availability of products to meet customer demands. This position will be based in NYC and will require a thorough understanding of supply chain management principles and logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ideal Profile Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a proven track record in supply chain planning. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain processes within the food supplement or related industries. They should be able to identify opportunities for process improvement, optimize inventory levels, and ensure efficient distribution to key accounts. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Responsibilities Develop and implement supply chain planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize stock-outs, and ensure on-time product delivery. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, to align supply chain activities with production and sales forecasts. Monitor and analyze demand patterns, market trends, and customer feedback to forecast future product demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components. Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to develop production plans, ensuring the availability of raw materials and the efficient utilization of manufacturing capacity. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock audits, and implement effective inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels. Analyze and optimize transportation routes, shipping methods, and distribution channels to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Evaluate and select appropriate supply chain management software and tools to streamline processes, enhance visibility, and improve decision-making. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to provide accurate delivery estimates, manage customer expectations, and address any supply chain-related inquiries or issues. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably within the food supplement or related industries. Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics, and inventory management. Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize supply chain processes and improve efficiency. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, including demand planning, inventory management, and transportation management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in supply chain management or logistics will be considered a plus.
