Job Description :
Description Position at Leopardo Construction Leopardo, nationally ranked ENR top 400 GC and top 100 green builder, is looking for a Superintendent to grow with our Orlando office. As a Superintendent, you will have the opportunity to run day-to-day field operations as you plan, direct, and coordinate designated project activities. This includes subcontractor/vendor coordination activities and quality control. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily subcontractor, foremen, and self-perform activities
  • Initiate a project quality plan to monitor initiatives, document associated observations and ensure compliance to work quality standards
  • Verify field conditions by conducting daily jobsite walkthroughs in addition to daily safe work plans and toolbox talks
  • Monitor the detailed master schedule, create two-week look ahead, and track critical dates of all activities affecting the project completion
  • Coordinate and participate in pre-construction, weekly, and post-construction meetings
  • Review construction documents, maintain on-site and in PlanGrid
  • Generate pre-punch and punch lists, determine responsible subcontractors and ensure timely completion
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Build and nurture relationships with clients/owners, architects, developers, and subcontractors
  • Actively promote Leopardo through participation in presenting new projects
  • Assist in recruiting and training efforts
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in construction, engineering, architecture or related fields preferred and/or equivalent training and experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience as a construction Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent and a clear understanding of the business side of construction
  • Comprehensive understanding of all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling and cost control
  • Competency in construction technologies such as: scheduling software (Asta), daily reporting (Raken), Bluebeam, PlanGrid. Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to travel to jobsites throughout the United States preferred
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
  • OSHA 30 Hour certification and First Aid/CPR certification are a plus
