We are looking for an Assistant Handbag Designer for a top fashion brand in NYC. Responsibilities:
- Track all packages to and from China
- Unpack, catalog, and track samples
- Create and maintain line sheets
- Input sample requests
- Sketch/CAD
- Set design wall with CADs and update wall as changes are made
- Create sticker labels, photo and log all original samples
- Design prints
- On-going trend research
- File materials/swatch cards
- Create mood boards/trend packets for meetings
- Assist with presentations as needed
- Keep sample closet organized
Required Qualifications:
- Must have Bachelor or Associates degree in Fashion Design
- VERY detail oriented/organized
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Good follow up and follow through
- Self-starter
- Team oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks in fast paced environment
