LocationNew York City, NY, United StatesPosted onOct 11, 2024ProfileA law firm in New York City, NY is seeking a dedicated Practice Intelligence Lawyer - M&A to enhance its Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice group's thought leadership and knowledge management efforts. This role will involve managing and optimizing the Firm's knowledge management system, generating insightful analyses, and supporting the Lawyers in leveraging data for internal and client-facing purposes.Duties and Responsibilities:Knowledge Management and System Input: Review and input deal terms into the Firm's knowledge management system (Litera Foundation Firm Intelligence Platform).Ensure timely and accurate input of matter profiles, reflecting all legal and business terms.Collaborate with M&A attorneys to determine which matters to profile and identify critical data points.Reporting and Analysis: Design and produce highly visual reports and dashboards in collaboration with the Data Analytics team.Prepare practice group and client alerts, memoranda, and other thought leadership materials.Generate analysis on key data points, including post-deal assessments, benchmarking, and market trend reports.Leverage Foundation data for internal presentations and client deliverables.Technology and Efficiency: Optimize technology and data collection processes to improve efficiency.Evaluate and implement technology and AI applications to support data collection efforts.Identify and recommend improvements to Foundation and related systems.Content Development and Maintenance: Work with M&A Lawyers to create, develop, organize, update, and maintain forms, precedents, checklists, and other substantive content.Ensure all content is up-to-date and utilized effectively by attorneys.Knowledge Support and Thought Leadership: Stay informed of key legal and market developments relevant to M&A practice.Provide additional knowledge support as assigned by practice group heads, Chief Knowledge & Innovation Officer, Lawyers, or Director.Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to design and maintain modern and accessible reports and dashboards.Collaboration and Mentoring: Support the Lawyers in identifying opportunities to enhance Foundation and related systems.Work with practice group attorneys and the Professional Development team to address training needs and develop training modules.Requirements:Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions practice.Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent legal degree.Skills and Abilities: In-depth knowledge of relevant M&A legal practices and documents.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.Proficiency in technology and data management systems, including advanced reporting tools.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.Personal Attributes: Self-starter with high motivation and initiative.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
