HOACNY provides cancer care services, Monday through Friday, day hours at three convenient locations in East Syracuse, Syracuse and Auburn. Generous benefits package including medical, dental, life, std, ltd,401k/pension, tuition reimbursement, etc. Convenient free parking.Oversees Health information and referral services manager, patient navigator manager and department coordinators and team leads.
Participation in weekly clinical leadership meetings.Frequent physician communication and interaction to understand preferences of scheduling, referral, and NC scheduling.Track and report NC, referral, scheduling benchmarks duties as requested by senior leadership.Foster departmental operational change through needs assessment identifying stopgaps and inefficiencies.Learn the departmental roles in order to assist in a time of need.Collaborate frequently with the clinical liaison for HIRS and patient navigators.Ensure appropriate staffing of Patient Navigator (PN) and Health Information and Referral Services departments (HIRS).Understand and stay current on health information, medical record, referral, and HIPPA governing body guidelines and regulations.Structure and manage physician-scheduling templates per RVU threshold guidelines. Review with CCO for approval prior to implementing changes/updates.Ensures departmental adherence of practice policies for PHI (protected health information). Follows guidelines for privacy defined by HIPA and NYS guidelines.Oversees completion and tracking of disability and FMLA paperwork.Participate in development policy and process of PN and HIRS departments.13. Responsible for ensuring our number one priority is serving our patients.14. Ensures efficient operations of the administrative patient navigator work including scheduling and check out procedures.15. Communicates with outside facilities serving our patients when delays or issues with the service they are providing affect our patient outcomes.16. Resolves customer service issues surrounding scheduling, staff complaints, referring office issues, and new patients.Ensures timely scheduling of new patient referrals including utilization of all available appointments, and tracks new patient data. Plan and execute plan for new staff education and orientation.Assist with staff performance evaluations. Set forth yearly goals for each employee.Participate in staff development and education.Demonstrates ongoing recruitment and retention strategies.Plan monthly educational presentations via the appropriate platform.RequirementsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS;Education: Bachelor's degree in a health care field with 5 years health care leadership experience or the preferred. Masters in Healthcare Administration/Business/ Leadership/or Nursing.Experience: Management Experience PreferredSalary Description $40
