The Opportunity We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our Firm. Within this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence and operational reporting in support of management decision making. This position will be based in our White Plains office and has a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Please note that the Firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. As the Business Intelligence Developer you will:

  • Design, build, and deploy business intelligence solutions such as reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, including both technical and business stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
  • Automate and optimize data retrieval processes.
  • Develop specifications and prototypes based on business requirements.
  • Lead efforts to analyze and optimize report performance.
  • Help manage reports and information distribution to stakeholders.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Stay current with the latest methods and technologies as they relate to business intelligence & reporting including trends in Artificial Intelligence.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written and spoken communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships.
  • Manage Firm resources responsibly.
  • Comply with and understand Firm operation, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in MS SSRS, MS Power BI, Excel, SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Analysis Services
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of SQL Databases, data retrieval and relational design
  • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization
  • Experience in the legal industry, Aderant Expert (or Elite), and serving finance customers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing; ability to convey complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrates familiarity in providing dataset to large language models, prompt engineering and related fine tuning practices, this includes implementing data preprocessing techniques to clean, normalize, and augment datasets for generative model training and/or machine learning workloads
  • Maintains knowledge of current technologies, relevant industry direction(s), and best practices
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years' relevant experience as a Report and Business Intelligence Developer

Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
