SECNY Federal Credit Union is currently looking for an Assistant Branch Manager for our Onondaga Hill Branch. This position is responsible for assisting with the responsibilities of directing and controlling the operational activities and staff of the branch. About SECNY Federal Credit Union: SECNY FCU is a member-owned, non-profit, full-service institution. Founded in 1971, our credit union serves the needs of any person working, living, worshipping, attending school, businesses and legal entities in Onondaga, Cayuga, Madison, and Oswego counties. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily operation of the branch, according to written branch operation standards, including adherence to security procedures.
- Ensures the application and compliance with established operating policies and procedures of the credit union.
- Formulates basic recommendations concerning polices and services for review by the Chief Operations Officer and/or Lending Manager.
- Responsible for the performance evaluation, training, motivation, and discipline of assigned employees.
- Assists members in the loan application through approval process to closing, to closing and funding of loan requests within specified credit union policies and procedures.
- Assists in the processing of teller transactions and balancing when necessary.
- Follows safety/security policies and procedures. Assists in providing ongoing training.
- Manages the cross-selling efforts of the branch of our full range of financial services.
- Monitors key products/sales within the branch to ensure profitability and sound business practices for the credit union, a high quality level of service for members, and that employees are maximizing opportunities to offer products.
- Manages the security and safety of the branch, with responsibility to analyze security and safety policies and procedures, and to alert staff of any changes.
- Meets with current and potential select employee group companies in branch area to promote member growth.
- Resolves member problems/responds to inquiries beyond the authority of other branch personnel.
- Supervises activity of all branch personnel.
- Ensures all personnel adhere to branch standards in telephone and in-person contact.
- Ensures all member problems/inquiries reported to any branch personnel are properly addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Advises the Chief Operations Officer on training needs and/or production problems.
- Ensures that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by all applicable regulatory agencies.
- Interviews loan applicants, accurately completes required loan forms, analyzes credit and financial information, and makes decision on loans within the prescribed limitation.
- Opens all types of accounts and promotes additional services.
- Assist in researching any MSR out of balance conditions.
- Maintains the branch ATM and self-service coin machine.
Education & Experience Associate's Degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and 4-6 years related experience and/or training in cash handling or customer service; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates and Licenses
