Summary: The Automation Maintenance Supervisor will perform all daily functions required to direct a team responsible for performing or coordinating resources and management of all automated equipment maintenance work. Job Duties: •Supports the Operations team by working in a safe, customer-focused manner; and must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric •Manages daily maintenance and troubleshooting all conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical; Audits and deploys training plans for maintenance personnel and technicians to build a solid team skill set. •Oversees Maintenance by tracking work hours, maintaining work orders for all maintenance/project work, managing material purchases used in maintenance/project work •Supports management with maintenance needs and reports as needed •Drives performance of preventive and corrective maintenance for the assigned buildings •Develops and designs innovative solutions to difficult problems •Leads multiple internally and externally sponsored projects and daily activities, manages to and meet deadlines. •Deploys and monitors preventative maintenance programs, audits technicians verifying proper completion of scheduled work.Communicates with leadership to ensure downtime is scheduled. •Analyzes, diagnoses, and recommends correction for Company and Customer equipment problems and breakdowns, including all automated handling equipment •Facilitates technical and safety training, as well as help to develop professional development of departmental facilities associates •Observes all safety procedures to make certain that lock out/tag out procedures are carried out correctly •Tracks all time and creates and distributes weekly labor reports •Candidates must have the ability to provide specific, enriched feedback to enhance individual performance, and provide associates with written performance appraisals including discipline and up to termination •Other duties as required and assigned Requirements: •Technical degree and/or skill-based licensing preferred •Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training in technical leadership •Experience in all aspects of automated handling systems including various electrical and mechanical control systems. •Experience with troubleshooting and repairing conveyor systems. •Experience in managing a maintenance department using a CMMS system. •Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual •Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form •Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization as well as various levels of the customer's organization •Ability to write routine reports and correspondence •Ability to interpret schematics and effectively use electrical diagnostic instruments. •Ability to troubleshoot complex control systems •Ability to manage the day-to-day functions required through a detailed CMMS system. Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. He/she is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. He/she must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.He/she is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
