JOB TITLE: Multi-Craft Technician

REPORTS TO: The Team Leader following the directions of the Reliability & Maintenance Manager

SHIFT DAYS/HOURS: 3-days on/3-days off- 6:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multi-Craft Technician to join our team in the aluminum manufacturing industry. As a Multi-Craft Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our manufacturing equipment, ensuring smooth operations and minimizing downtime. This is a challenging position that requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

* Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques. Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring, as needed.

* Maintain documentation for existing and new equipment.

* Maintain up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts.

* Provide assistance to mechanical installations as directed.

* Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, electrical/mechanical problems on machinery.

* Interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff to ascertain problems with equipment.

* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine problems and make appropriate repairs.

* Install and service a variety of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical, communications and process control systems.

* Support continuous improvement engineer(s) and production departments by suggesting ways to improve the reliability and/or productivity of the equipment.

* Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.

What You Will Need:

* High school diploma or GED. Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.

* OR

* 3-5 years related work experience.

* Experience with industrial, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.

* Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

* Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.

* Good communication skills to interact with team members and management.

* Ability to work individually or in a team situation.

* Must be able to pass company background check and drug screen.
