Spa Supervisor | Job DescriptionLodgeWorks is actively hiring for a Spa SupervisorJob overviewThe Spa Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Managing Consultant with overseeing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the spa. This includes but is not limited to scheduling guests, working with Spa Providers, executing and improving procedures and protocols, ensuring spa cleanliness, ordering supplies and taking monthly supply and retail inventories. The Spa Supervisor keeps spa statistics and ensures the data is accurately presented each month. Your day-to-day
  • Ability to read, write, and speak conversantly in English using correct pronunciation and grammar.
  • Assist the Managing Consultant in overseeing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the spa and the spa staff, ensuring a smooth flow of business.
  • Work daily with the Spa Provider team on the following: ensure their timely arrival, review time clock punches, assist with treatment preparation as needed, answer questions and provide coaching on guest issues.
  • Open and close the spa daily following the opening and closing procedures.
  • Efficiently and accurately schedule spa services in Meevo to maximize the schedule. Add providers to the schedule as needed and directed.
  • Respond to emails and phone calls in a timely way following spa standards.
  • Be able to answer guest's questions regarding the spa menu, promoting health and wellness benefits of each treatment.
  • Review future appointments and detect any problems with spa scheduling. Oversee that lunches and blocks are scheduled accurately.
  • Clean the locker room after guests depart and strictly adhere to all sanitation, cleaning and disinfecting guidelines before, during and after each shift.
  • Maintain a professional image at all times with a clean outfit, groomed nails and proper hygiene. Always demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and appropriate speech and behavior with guests, supervisors and co-workers.
  • Reconcile treatment and billing discrepancies which occur during each shift, ensuring that Meevo and Lightspeed revenue numbers match 100%.
  • Assist the Managing Consultant with ordering and receiving of all operational and office supplies.
  • Oversee receiving, pricing and merchandising of all retail products. Enter data in Meevo. Ship products to guests as requested. Conduct the monthly retail and operational supply inventories.
  • Oversee the compilation of all spa statistics, ensuring all data is accurately entered, reconciled and completed in a timely manner.
  • Post the weekly priority schedule.
  • Keep the Spa Manual up to date, making edits as needed and directed.
  • Work with other departments in the hotel to ensure accurate information is provided regarding the spa, spa menu and availability of appointments. Communicate with the Front Desk Manager and Concierge on various guest issues as needed.
  • Continually strive to improve spa procedures and protocols.
  • Follow-up with the Managing Consultant on all comments, suggestions and/or issues that arise.
  • Schedule spa staff for meetings and training sessions. Attend all spa meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as directed or assigned.
Who you are
  • 1-3 years of lead or supervisory experience required in a spa or health related environment which includes training and coaching associates.
  • Experience supervising a small team, delegating work and providing feedback.
  • Intermediate level computer skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, GMail and PowerPoint.
  • A demonstrated passion for guest service and serving the public.
  • Ability to close sales and assist guests with their questions in the retail area.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities while staying calm under pressure.
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize and organize projects and workflow.
  • Detail oriented and an ability to multitask.
  • Available to work holidays, weekends and evenings.
  • Position requires sitting at a desk for periods of time during a full shift.
  • Frequent need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending and twisting.
  • Vision requirements: ability to constantly view a computer screen and see small details.
  • Hearing requirements: ability to converse with guests and co-workers. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
