- Master's degree preferred; bachelor's degree required.
- Two years of related experience preferred.
- Proficiency in modern business communications including personal computers, electronic mail, voicemail, facsimile and copier equipment.
- Bi-lingual Spanish-speaking strongly preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain case records and statistics for program.
- Assist the ADD in recruiting and training direct service staff.
- Administer personnel policies and procedures under the guidance of the ADD.
- Develop regular communication with contract managers for programs supervised, act as liaison with funding source.
- Ensure all programs meet contractual goals and reporting requirements.
- Monitor program progress and submit all required reports to funding sources, including government and private sources.
- Submit internal progress reports on a monthly basis, or more frequently as required.
- Plan and develop budgets, and work with ADD and fiscal staff to ensure that collection of payment from funding source is current.
- Complete monthly staff performance reports for all staff supervised.
- Monitor staff performance, including performing case reviews and structured observations.
- Participate in, and encourage staff to become involved in, agency events.
- Review all staff documentation, including but not limited to progress notes, assessments, and Care Plans.
- Provide direct services to clients.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Program Specific Responsibilities
- Complete chart reviews in collaboration with CQI staff to ensure that all program and funder requirements are being followed and that all recommended services and/or service interventions and frequency of each service is appropriate
- Provide oversight and feedback on all service plan reviews, assessments, and other case record documentation.
- Provide crisis interventions and manage emergency situations appropriately.
- Actively engage the clients who are absent or stop participating in services by conducting appropriate outreach based on the resident's needs, to maintain continuity of services.
- Collaborate with program's Outreach team to continue growth of the program and identify appropriate referrals and successful strategies that increase enrollment.
- Collaborate with CQI staff to ensure successfully monthly billing for the program.
- Identify areas of growth for staff and lead clinically focused trainings on variety of mental health topics and interventions.
- Coordinate with CBC and extended Medicaid billing providers and partnerships.
- Develop and update policies and procedures for the program.
- Responsible for direct supervision of BCCP Care Managers, including weekly supervisions.
Skills/Abilities
- Strong writing and oral communication skills.
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb five flights of stairs, if required to conduct home visits and/or fieldwork.
- Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
- Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City via public transportation.
- Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.
