Position Details Title: Pharmaceutical Production Operations Specialist Location: Syracuse, NY Shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 4 days per week (10-hour shifts). Must be flexible for a 5-day schedule as needed. 2nd Shift: Core hours 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with flexibility (e.g., 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM, 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM, or 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM). Monday-Friday or adjusted schedules based on overtime needs. Training on 1st shift (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM). Compensation: $30+/hour (2nd shift includes a 10% differential for all hours worked). Position Description The Pharmaceutical Production Operations Specialist is responsible for equipment setup, operation, and maintenance in various manufacturing departments. This role ensures efficient production processes and equipment functionality while maintaining GMP and SOP compliance. Key responsibilities include: Equipment Operations and Maintenance: Set up, monitor, and operate equipment for compounding, filling, and packaging processes. Perform equipment assembly, disassembly, and cleaning. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in production machinery. Assist with preventive maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency. Manufacturing Processes: Weigh and measure raw materials accurately, including performing calculations and conversions. Conduct production tasks in both sterile and non-sterile environments, adhering to aseptic techniques. Ensure equipment operates at desired line speeds with minimal waste. Safety and Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including cleaning floors, walls, and equipment. Follow all safety protocols, use PPE appropriately, and adhere to GMP standards. Documentation and Coordination: Complete and verify production documentation, including batch records and material counts. Coordinate with Quality Assurance and manufacturing teams to resolve errors and maintain workflow. Training and Team Support: Mentor, coach, and train team members in production techniques and equipment usage. Participate in skill enrichment programs, including certifications for forklift operation and APA gowning. Qualifications Education: Associate degree in electrical and mechanical technologies or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum 2+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, equipment maintenance, or a related field. Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with PLCs. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing production equipment. Knowledge of sterile and non-sterile manufacturing environments. Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
