A Brief OverviewAssists patients with mobilization, such as getting them in/out of bed, in/out of their wheelchair, to/from restroom, and assistance with ambulating/walking.
What You Will Do- Mobilizing Patients
- Compassionate in all interactions with patients, families, and peers.
- Collaboration/Teamwork with Nursing and Physical/Occupational Therapy and other departments as needed
Additional Responsibilities- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications:Education- High School Equivalent / GED With experience in vocational education as a nursing assistant (Preferred)
Work Experience- Experience assisting others with mobilization. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Able to understand all verbal and written communication instructions (Required proficiency)
- Able to record specific simple data (Required proficiency)
- Good time management and interpersonal skills. (Required proficiency)
- Physically, cognitively and perceptually able to provide patient treatment and able to assist in physical mobility of patients and equipment. (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications- Basic Life Support (BLS) Will be provided during UH new hire orientation within 90 Days (Required)
