Part Time Coordinator of Game Day Operations and Special Events (Part Time Casual)
Reports to: Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation
Hours: Approximately 20-25 hours weekly. Afternoon, evening and weekend hours.
Work Schedule: Fall and Spring semesters.
Location: Blue Bell campus
Hourly Rate: $15.00
* This position requires the PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances.
This position requires a pre-employment drug screening test as a condition of employment.
Part Time Casual Employees are hired on a seasonal basis during peak periods, may serve a maximum of four consecutive months (i.e. summer/fall enrollment peak) and are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week.
Basic Purpose:The Coordinator of Game Day Operations & Special Events is responsible for the coordination of all home athletic events. The coordinator is responsible for attendance tracking, pre-game, halftime and in game activities as well as assisting with facility set-up and take down.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assists the Director of Athletics to prepare and host home athletic events for all intercollegiate sports.
* Serves as an on-site contact for visiting teams, officials, athletic trainers and student workers.
* Assists in the set-up and tear down of all home athletic events.
* Tracks attendance at all home athletic events.
* Communicate with and acquire necessary paperwork from officials and athletic trainer.
* Other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Education/Training/Work Experience:
* High school diploma/GED required; associates degree preferred in related field.
* Experience working in athletics.
* Excellent administrative, oral and written and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in coordinating large on-campus events
* Ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Internet, email, database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation experience.
