Qualifications:

1. Retired police officer

2. Have served as duly qualified, fully-trained, full-time municipal or county police officer, or as a member of the State Police

3. Knowledge of security measure, fire prevention, and crowd control

4. Complete the training course for safe school resource officers (SROs)

5. High school diploma; college level coursework in human behavior, child development; or related field experience - preferred

6. Must be certified by a NJ Police training Commission

7. Basic security and supervision skills

8. Must possess an RPO/HR218 - Retired Police Officer's Right to Carry and meet all training requirements

9. Ability to legally carry a firearm while on duty

10. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
