Job Title: Utility Permit Coordinator

Work Model: Fully Remote (with occasional on-site visits in the greater Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill Area

Hours: Approx. 10 hours per week (2 hours per day – can make your own schedule)

Pay: $36-43/hour

One of our large convenience retail store clients is seeking a part-time Utility Permit Coordinator to join their growing team and support construction projects they currently have in various sites in North Carolina. This position will be fully remote but will require occasional access to the sites. This position is part-time and will be roughly 10 hours per week (2 hours/day Mon-Fri).

Other responsibilities include:

  • Completing walk downs with construction teams to assess sites and ensure utility permitting requirements.
  • Coordinating between general contractors and internal teams
  • Contributing to the success of initiatives by permitting, overseeing the utility permit process, and facilitating efficient project execution
  • Responsible for all communication with utility companies regarding permits for gas, electric, water and telecom services
  • Meeting with engineering teams to devel plans and utility timelines.
  • Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications and identifying discrepancies or conflicts.

Must Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with managing utilities permitting
  • Prior Construction project management experience
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and effective industry best practices

Compensation:

$36-43/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
