Responsibilities:
- Research market trends, consumer behaviors and competitors
- Identify new product and vendors/suppliers
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms
- Work closely with vendors building strong partnerships
- Partner with team members to drive business and identify opportunities
- Prepare and deliver product presentations
Requirements:
- Experience 5 + years' experience in retail buying within multiple hardlines categories
- Experienced managing relationships with multiple vendor partners
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and ability to learn new systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships
- Self-motivated, detail oriented and highly organized
