GO Program Career Specialist -
Our Growth Opportunities (GO) Program specifically supports youth ages 15 to 18 impacted by the justice system in overcoming challenges and achieving success. The GO Team uses a wrap around approach to implement the mission of JOG and drive student outcomes.
Responsibilities -
- Travel between assigned schools and community locations to meet with youth.
- Assist youth to successfully transition to employment, enrollment or enlistment while collectively aiding in barrier removal and goal achievement.
- Competency instruction, promote the goals of JOG and facilitate compliance to JOG's standards and objectives.
- Assess participant needs, develop their skill set, provide mentorship, and track/document progress while working collaboratively with all members of the JOG team to determine best practices for participants.
- Meet with the GO team to develop individual youth plans and collaborate on best practices
- Guide and support youth in facilitating monthly peer groups
