Simulator Software Engineer Expected salary range of $102,600 to $114,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). Sr Simulator Software Engineer Expected salary range of $120,600 to $134,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Responsible for Creating and modifying simulation software logic and dynamic models used at a nuclear power plant in the Main Control Room Simulator, including simulator software maintenance, model minor plant modifications, and enhancements with minimal support. Functions independently and advises Constellation's Training Department on simulator technology. Coordinate simulator tasks and collaborate across teams as needed. Independence level: Works independently with minimal guidance. Works closely with the training department, project managers, and site engineers to ensure compliance with project needs. The role is centered on the development and improvement of new and existing features. Additionally, you will be reviewing the code of your peers, advocating for standard development methodologies, and participating in an inclusive, energetic, and highly cross-functional team. Expected to work efficiently with minimal supervision. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Engage with business partners to gather information, analyze requirements, and deliver practical, efficient, and cost-effective solutions that satisfy business needs. Design, develop and/or review complex code to ensure solutions meet the requirements of functional and technical specifications. Develop and/or review project technical architecture design and development. Solutions may include but are not limited to the development of various types of applications. Stay on top of latest technologies and trends. Support development of version control principles. Ensure all risks and issues that affect the projects are captured and are actioned appropriately. Enhance knowledge of and compliance with preferred technologies, methodologies, standards, and policies. Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function Provide technology solutions by weighing advantages of technology trends, market availability of products, risks, and benefits of technology to meet business needs. Create/modify and document simulation software logic and dynamic models to meet the business needs for simulator software maintenance, minor plant modifications, and enhancements with minimal support from peers or vendors. For Site Main Control Room Simulator Projects: plan, design, build or manage high quality IT software solutions Software configuration management Maintain engagement with the Site Training Department to provide support for emergent problems, Simulator Review Board support, Emergency Preparedness drill preparation, Training load releases, Instructor drill development, and IT security / exam security. Lead planning activities for assigned site. Provide second tier service to another simulator, as required, to backup that simulators Site Lead with little or no assistance Participates in projects for other sites in the fleet as required.
