Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Location: Leroy, Brockport, Hamlin, Hilton & surrounding areas

Shifts: Morning, Afternoon, Overnights & Weekends available

Position Type: Full-time & Part-time

Position Overview: Lifetime Assistance, Inc. is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). As a DSP, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Care and Support:

-Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.-Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to promote independence.-Foster a safe and inclusive environment that respects the dignity and rights of each individual.

Communication and Documentation:

-Maintain clear and open communication with clients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team.-Document client progress, health records, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.-Report any changes in client behavior or health to the appropriate supervisors.

Community Engagement:

-Plan and engage individuals in community-based activities, outings, and social events.-Encourage participation in vocational and recreational opportunities to enhance social skills and community integration.

Training and Development:

-Attend mandatory training sessions and stay updated on best practices in the field of developmental disabilities.-Seek opportunities for professional growth and skill development.

Qualifications:

-High school diploma or equivalent preferred.-Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is a plus.-Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.-Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.-Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.-CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
