Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm CST.We offer 2 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8am to 5pm CST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.Location: State of TexasIf you reside in the state of Texas, you will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:* Outreaches are performed through an auto-dialer system* Documents all patient interactions in a concise manner that is compliant with documentation requirements established in Job Aids* Receives out-bound calls through an auto-dialer for program requirements including, but not limited to patient appointment scheduling, provider outreach, assess for special needs, Texas Health Steps and access to care for farmworker children* Schedules and coordinates patient transportation, and follow-up for physician appointments as needed* Provides clerical and / or administrative support to clinical staff and managers for special projects and reports* Provides excellent customer service by serving as a resource to all internal and external customers* Maintains knowledge of all health plan benefits, network, regulations, HHSC requirements* Informs members of available community resources available to help meet their needs, including but not limited to: TANF, SNAP, CSHCN, WIC* Complete appropriate assessments and care plans as needed to streamline patient access to care* Submits internal and external referrals* Assist all patients with barriers to care* Performs all other related duties as assigned* Meet and maintain metrics dailyYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:* High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of medical customer service experience* 2+ years of customer service experience* 2+ years of experience in medical customer service* Intermediate level of computer proficiency including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and the ability to navigate through multiple web applications* Reside in the state of Texas* Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)* Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet servicePreferred Qualifications:* Experience working within the health care industry and with health insurance* Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting* CNA or MA experience* Experience working in a call center* Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, long periods working at a computer* Health Care/Insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology)* Ask appropriate questions and listen actively while documenting required information in computer systems* Bilingual English/Spanish* All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
