- Ensure that all PSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met.
- Develop CAD nesting sketches with bevels, part marking, and chamfer information for the plasma and oxygen CNC plate cutting stations.
- Develop CAD milling and nesting sketches with bevels, part marking, and chamfer information for the CNC panel cutting stations.
- Determine the most efficient plate part arrangement and sequence to be used during cutting operations to minimize the waste of raw material.
- Convert CAD files into GEN files readable by the individual cutting stations.
- Verify that corner loops, bevel windows, marking lines, bevels, part-to-part, and part-to-plate edge distances are adequate for the individual cutting stations.
- Issue CNC cutting files by locating them into the network based on agreed procedures.
- Communicate with Production personnel to resolve any production issues with the documentation / information.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY This position has no supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION AND EXPEREIENCE
- Associate's Degree
- Minimum 3 years' experience in shipbuilding or steel fabrication
- General knowledge of steel material qualities and steel structural design/construction
- CAD / CAM software knowledge
- MS Office experience
