JOB TITLE: Title I General Classroom Paraprofessional REPORTS TO: Principal/Assigned Teacher JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides remedial instruction to targeted students under supervision of classroom teacher and Principal in a Title I Schoolwide program. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides instructional support services under the direct supervision of a highly qualified teacher.Provides remedial, supplementary instructional support after a highly qualified teacher provides instruction or introduces a new skill.Maintains confidentiality.Works an assigned (non-flexible) schedule and is punctual.Prepares instructional materials for assigned students only.Assists the teacher in maintaining proper classroom control.Provides positive reinforcement for students.Demonstrates a professional and personal demeanor.Takes initiative and performs independently.Maintains a time and effort log in which daily activities are documented.Will have prior approval from Title 1 Coordinator to work more time than designated.Attends training as assigned.Participates in District data gathering (Acadience, etc.) as assigned.Follows and enforces school and District regulations and policies.Student supervision duty for up to one half hour each day.Performs other duties as may be assigned by the building principal.Application Details: To be considered for this position, individuals should Apply Online . Job Requirements: According to federal requirements, ALL K-12 paraprofessionals working with students in any capacity must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma OR GED AND
- An Associate's degree or higher OR
- 60 or more credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education OR
- Obtain a passing score on one of the ADE approved online assessments below:
