As a contract manufacturer organization (CMO), we collaborate with innovators from some of the world's most successful brands.Summary: The Packaging Machine Operator is responsible for managing production parameters throughout the packaging process. This role must be meticulous about maintaining the equipment such that it is running optimally for each SKU to be produced. The machine operator must understand how the equipment runs, what parameters are required for the product being manufactured, and how to make adjustments (as needed) in order to maintain product and packaging, integrity, quality and food safety. Ultimately, this role is responsible for ensuring that the product is packaged at the rate, count, and consistency required for production, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Following cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • WIP (work-in-progress) product handling
  • In-process checks
  • Use of temperature probe
  • Operation of all packaging equipment
  • Center-lining
  • Basic equipment preventative maintenance
  • Equipment change-overs
  • Reading MMR (Master Manufacturing Record)
  • Filling out Packaging portion of batch record
  • Complete various trainings such as corporate, job specific, and cross training
  • Cleaning Packaging and Kitchen equipment
  • Chemical mixing & handling
  • Line Clearance
  • Maintenance & Calibration work order creation
  • Safety Inspections
  • Daily & weekly tasks such as mopping, refilling PPE (personal protective equipment), self-inspections (facility)
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
  • Previous food, pharmaceutical, and/or dietary supplement production and manufacturing machine operation experience preferred
  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
