Job DetailsPreferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or CPO Certification (Section 8), SHCM Designation (Section 42), RAM Certification, FHC (Fair Housing Coordinator)
- 5+ years in affordable housing compliance (HUD, Tax Credit programs).
- Required: Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) & Tax Credit Specialist Certification (TCS).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Yardi Software.
- Flexibility to travel regionally (Los Angeles, Long Beach, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Program Compliance: Monitor HUD, State, and Section 8 standards across multiple properties. Conduct site visits, audits, and property clean-ups to ensure compliance.
- Training & Development: Train property managers and staff on compliance requirements, including qualifications, certifications, and file management.
- File & Certification Management: Review and verify move-in files, re-certifications, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with program standards.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain accurate internal records, generate compliance reports, and submit documentation to local, state, and federal agencies.
- Regulatory Updates & Risk Management: Stay current on regulatory changes and lead staff briefings on updates. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
