Engineering InternshipDirect Supervisor:Engineering Manager or Sr. Process EngineerWorkplace and Working Conditions:Plant Locations with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.Work hours are Monday-Friday for 10+ hours/week with flexibility based on course schedule with an option for full-time hours in the summer. Basic Function: The Co-Op / intern role will focus on ensuring that equipment specifications in the plant match the equipment in the database. This includes the review of P&IDs and the field verification of piping, equipment, instrumentation and the reporting and documentation of findings.Principal responsibilities are:Review equipment documentation and match equipment to what is in the field.Enter equipment specifications to the database.Review P&IDs and verify piping, equipment, instrumentation, and the documentation of field equipment.Support Maintenance and Process Engineering Teams including root cause analysis. Understand and support material and energy balances.Develop process improvement plans based on data and communicate the information throughout the organization.Participate in equipment specification and procurement for the biorefinery and provide technical expertise.Provide technical support during planned and unplanned outages. While in development, participate in engineering, procurement, and construction projects.Experience:Strong critical thinking skillsGood communication skills and ability to work effectively within a teamExcellent organizational and time management skillsPrevious Co-Op / Internship time preferred but not requiredSocial Competences:Ability to build relationships with various levels of the organization Workplace:Verbio Plant
