JOB SUMMARY
Sorts, folds and stacks laundry. Loads and unloads washer and dryer; weighs and records poundage. Responsible for following instructions and carrying out assignments properly. Supportive of the Village's mission, values, and service/hospitality (PRIDE) expectations. Completes training hours as required by policy.

* Collects, sorts, folds, irons and delivers laundry.
* Operates washers, dryers, and presser.
* Adheres to all safety regulations and requirements.
* Handles stress well and gets along with others within the workplace and with customers outside the department.
* Maintains acceptable standards of workplace conduct.
The responsibilities described above represent the primary responsibilities of the job. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as warranted by business needs. The incumbent is expected to perform all assigned responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
* This position requires the level of education typically acquired by a course of study leading to a high school diploma or GED.
Knowledge and Skills (required unless otherwise noted):
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
* Ability to communicate using simple sentences, paragraphs and correspondence.
* Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
* Knowledge of basic measurements in inches, feet, yards, ounces and pounds.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Special Working conditions
* The associate is subject to inside environmental conditions with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
* The associate is subject to sufficient noise to cause the associate to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
* The associate is subject to hazards such as exposure to chemicals; they may also encounter wet surfaces in laundry department and dining areas.
* The associate may be exposed to infectious diseases.
* The associate is required to function around individuals with challenged mental capacities.
* All associates may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation.

REQUIRES WEEKEND ROTATION
Will be required to work as a Housekeeping Associate when needed and directed by manager
