12th November, 2024Job Title: Piping CAD DetailerCompany Overview:We are looking for a self-motivated individual with experience in creating plumbing and mechanical piping models. The piping detailer is responsible for reading and interpreting construction drawings to prepare accurate and detailed coordination/shop drawings for Mechanical/Plumbing piping systems. This role involves utilizing a range of software applications, including but not limited to AutoCAD MEP, Trimble, Navisworks, and Revit.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Computer Aided Design/Drafting (CADD) support and documentation of mechanical/plumbing piping activities using Trimble, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Coordinate mechanical/plumbing piping systems with other trades to avoid clashes.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and CCI standards to apply/incorporate detailed and accurate shop drawings from contract documents and field surveys.
- Work closely with plumbers, foreman, and project managers to provide and ensure drawing clarity and accuracy.
- Layout piping systems in 3D and generate required spool, installation, and identification drawings.
- Maintain accurate and up to date as built drawings throughout project duration.
- Field surveys as required for renovation work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in design/drafting or equivalent work experience desired.
- Formal education/training or relevant hands-on experience with Autodesk software systems desired.
- Knowledge of commercial mechanical piping and plumbing systems.
- Able to manage workload under own initiative and maintain project and fabrication schedules in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Computer literacy with the company software systems including Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Trimble, and other related 3D detailing software tools.
- Excellent knowledge of blueprint reading
